Darkness Dailuaine 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 51.3% in a 50cl bottle without chill filtration.
After ten years in oak, the whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry octave casks. These hold one-eighth the volume of a standard barrel, which allows more contact with the wood. Dailuaine is known for a rich, meaty spirit.
The nose offers dark fruit, toffee, warm spice, cocoa and polished oak. The palate is full-bodied, with sherry sweetness, raisin and fig set against malt, pepper and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, with chocolate, spice and gentle oak.
