Eau Claire Distillery – Single Malt Whisky Batch 008 (44.4%)

Eau Claire Single Malt Batch 008 comes from Turner Valley in Alberta, Canada. The distillery was founded by David Farran, and its whiskies follow a farm-to-glass approach that includes traditional horse farming for some of the grain. This single malt is distilled from 100% Alberta-grown barley with glacial water from the Sheep River, and is bottled at 44.4% ABV. The nose offers oak shavings, grassy fields, raisins, red fruit, brown sugar, green apple and white pepper. On the palate are sweet malt, vanilla, toffee and dried fruit compote. The finish brings toasted coconut, walnut and cocoa powder, with building pepper spice and red fruit jam.
