George Dickel Rye is a Tennessee rye whiskey made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof). It is distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, then charcoal mellowed, aged and bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
The colour is rich golden amber. Baking spice, vanilla and toasted oak lead the nose, with hints of rye grain and pepper. On the palate come clove, caramel and dried fruit alongside rye spice and a touch of sweetness. The finish is long, dry and slightly smoky, with lingering spice and oak.
