Glen Scotia – 10 Year Old Unpeated (70cl, 40%)

This is a 10 year old unpeated Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks, which balance the character of the distillery with the influence of the wood. The style is maritime, with green fruit, citrus, vanilla and light spice. The nose has fresh sea air, sliced apple, lemon peel and roasted oak. The palate is soft and almost creamy, with brown sugar, orange jam, ripe pineapple and vanilla, then spicy oak. The finish is long, with ground ginger and a little cinnamon.
