Glen Scotia – Festival Release 2026 7 Year Old (53.9%)

This is the Glen Scotia bottling for the 2026 Campbeltown Malts Festival, a 7 year old single malt at a cask strength of 53.9%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was distilled from medium-peated malt, matured first in first-fill bourbon casks and then given a six-month finish in Ruby Port casks. Glen Scotia makes its peated spirit for only six weeks of the year. The nose is sweet peat, vanilla fudge, toffee and ripe cherries. On the palate come juicy mandarins and intense blackcurrant jam, joined gradually by smoky campfire embers. The finish is long, with cloves and cinnamon and a salty, maritime peat note.
