This Glen Scotia single malt is the first in the Icons of Campbeltown series, bottled at 54.1% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from the Mermaid, one of the characters carved on the Campbeltown Market Cross.
It is made from unpeated barley and finished in Palo Cortado ex-sherry casks.
The nose combines dry seaweed and sea salt with rich apple tart and caramel. The finish is long, with a savoury, coastal undertone.
