Glen Scotia – Signature Series Germany Exclusive (46%)

This is a Glen Scotia single malt from Campbeltown, bottled at 46% as the first release in the Signature Series. It was matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, and the outturn is 1204 bottles. The first-fill bourbon casks are described as a personal favourite of the distiller. The release shows the maritime and tropical fruit character long associated with Glen Scotia. Tasting notes mention rich oils, juicy peaches, melted brown sugar and crisp green apples, followed by a long, warming finish of oak spice.
