Victoriana is a small batch single malt from the Glen Scotia distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 54.2%. It was given a further period of maturation in PX sherry and deep charred oak casks.
The nose is elegant, led by a touch of oak, with crème brûlée notes that move into generous caramelised fruit and then polished oak. The palate opens sweet and concentrated, with jammy blackcurrant fruit and a broad middle, tightening towards the back. The finish is clean and sweet at first, with a subtle cocoa note.
