GlenDronach 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the GlenDronach Distillery near Huntly, Aberdeenshire, founded in 1826 by James Allardice. It is matured for at least 12 years in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at 43% at natural colour and without chill filtration.
The colour is a deep amber red-gold. The nose is sweet and creamy, with autumn fruits, ginger, mulled wine spice, pear and vanilla. The palate is rich and buttery, with sun-dried raisins, soft fruit, ginger and honey. The finish is long and slightly nutty, with spice and dried fruit.
