GlenDronach – 15 Year Old (70cl)

A 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from GlenDronach, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1826 by a group of local farmers led by James Allardice, and was closed from 1996 until 2002. In 2008 it was bought by the BenRiach Distilling Co, led by Billy Walker, which launched the Revival single malt in 2009. The closure had left a gap in mature stocks, so older spirit was needed to fill out that earlier release. This 15 year old is the bottling that has since returned, and it is regarded as a very fine dram in its own right.
