GlenDronach Allardice is an 18 year old Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from Allardes, the surname of the founder of the distillery.
Oloroso casks come through straight away. The whisky is a deep mahogany colour and leaves oily legs on the glass.
On the nose there are dates, prunes and raisins, along with powdered chocolate and a savoury note of rich meaty juices, perhaps with a hint of bone broth.
