This is GlenDronach 18 Year Old, a Highland single malt bottled at 46% in a 700ml bottle. Oloroso casks play a clear part in its character.
In the glass it is a deep, burnished mahogany with oily legs. The nose opens with Oloroso influence alongside dates, prunes and raisins, then powdered chocolate. A savoury note follows, reminiscent of rich meat juices and perhaps a hint of bone broth.
