GlenDronach 21 Year Old Parliament is a Highland single malt matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. No colouring is added.
The name comes from the collective noun for a group of rooks, which live in the trees near the distillery. GlenDronach was founded in 1826 and has its own floor maltings.
The nose is dense, with woodsmoke, earthy moss, fig syrup, coffee and walnut cake. Sweet and mellow at first, the palate deepens into liquorice and cherries in dark chocolate. The finish is long and firm, with nuts, pepper and a touch of sulphur.
