This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from GlenDronach, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is a deep, burnished mahogany, and the whisky leaves oily legs on the glass.
Oloroso casks lead on the nose, with dates, prunes and raisins, then powdered chocolate. A subtle savoury note sits underneath, recalling rich meaty juices and perhaps a hint of bone broth.
