Glenfarclas – Cask Strength

A cask strength single malt from Glenfarclas, a Speyside distillery that is still family owned. John Grant bought the business in 1865, and each generation of the family since has kept the stills running. This bottling is described as less mild and soft than many expect, and a drop of water can be added to open up its depth. The aroma is full and complex, with sherry upfront, sweet malt, oak, a little caramel and fresh fruit such as apples and young pears.
