This is a special edition 12 year old single malt from Glenfiddich in Speyside, finished in Amontillado sherry casks and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The finish is described as adding dried fruit, nut and spice while keeping Glenfiddich's fresh pear and crisp apple character.
The nose offers raisin, plum, mulled wine, dried fruit and subtle oak spice. The palate is sweet, with spiced figs, poached pears, nut jam and a gentle warming heat. The finish is fairly short, dry, nutty and gently spiced, with lingering apple and oak.
