Glenfiddich 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 1.75 litre bottle. It comes from the distillery William Grant founded in Dufftown in 1887.
The whisky spends 12 years in American bourbon and Spanish sherry oak casks. It is then rested in large oak marrying tuns, which allows the bourbon and sherry cask characters to come together.
The nose is fresh pear and green apple with wildflower honey and light oak. On the palate come sweet pear, vanilla, butterscotch and cream with a little spice. The finish is clean and lightly warming, fading on malt and gentle spice.
