This is a 14 year old Speyside single malt from Glenfiddich in Dufftown, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels from Kentucky, rather than a mix of cask types.
The nose is rich vanilla cream with toffee, warm nutmeg, cinnamon and ripe orchard fruit. The palate is smooth and sweet, with dates, dried fruit and caramel over a firm oak backbone. The finish is long, nutty and toasty, with a hint of char and lingering vanilla.
