Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve is a Speyside single malt created by Malt Master Brian Kinsman and bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle, supplied in a branded tube. It was developed for the US market.
The whisky spends fourteen years in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then is finished in deep charred new American oak barrels from The Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky.
It is a medium amber with copper glints. The nose has vanilla, citrus, caramelised brown sugar, baked apple and cinnamon over warm oak. The palate is rich and sweet, with creamy toffee, candied orange peel, woody spice and toasted oak. The finish is long and smooth, with sweet oak and soft vanilla.
