This is a 16 year old Glenfiddich single malt from Dufftown in Speyside, the first release from the distillery's multi-year partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One team. It was unveiled around the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix and is a limited edition, bottled at 43% ABV.
It is matured entirely in American oak, using a combination of American oak wine casks, new American barrels and second-fill ex-bourbon casks.
Rich amber in colour, it has a sweet nose of biscuity cheesecake, maple syrup and caramelised ginger over subtle toasted oak. The palate is silky and syrupy, with fresh fruit salad, Chantilly cream and vanilla, and the finish is smooth, bold and balanced.
