Glenfiddich 18 Year Old is a single malt whisky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1886, and its name means 'valley of the deer' in Gaelic.
The whisky first matures in sherry and bourbon casks. Master Distiller Brian Kinsman then selects 150 casks, which are divided into small batches and left for a further 3 months.
The nose is fresh, with sweet apples, vanilla, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The palate is full and lightly sweet, malty, with sherry notes and oak. The finish is long and soft, with light oak again.
