Glenfiddich – 18 Year Old (75cl, 40%)

Glenfiddich 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown, established in 1886. It is bottled in small batches at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The whisky matured in a combination of Spanish sherry oak and American bourbon oak casks, which were married before bottling. Each batch brings together a limited number of casks at a time rather than a very large vatting. On the nose, dried fruit, butterscotch, oak spice, light sherry and vanilla. The palate brings rich toffee, fig, walnut, mellow oak and subtle smoke, and the finish is long and warm with toasted oak and dried fruit.
