Glenfiddich 19 Year Old Ex-Bourbon is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43.6% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was matured for the full 19 years in American oak casks that previously held bourbon, with no sherry cask influence, which sets it apart from most Glenfiddich expressions.
After maturation it is married in the distillery's wooden marrying tuns.
The nose is warm toffee, orange marmalade and orange liqueur, with dry oak and a hint of baked bread. The palate brings vanilla pod, fine leather and Havana tobacco, turning sweet and velvety with cardamom and nutmeg. The finish is medium to long and warming, with malty sweetness.
