This is a limited edition 21 year old single malt from Glenfiddich, created to mark Chinese New Year in 2024. It is bottled at 40% vol. in a 70cl bottle.
After 21 years in oak, the whisky spent a further six months or so in casks that previously held rum, which brings rum notes alongside the malt. Its colour is gold.
The nose is complex, with sweet honey, brioche, shortbread, fresh apple and citrus. The palate is full and silky, with sweet fruit, caramel, oak and vanilla custard. The finish is long, fruity and spicy.
