This is a limited edition Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva released for Chinese New Year 2024, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The packaging was designed by the artist Raku Inoue, inspired by nature and the return of the Wood Dragon, the 2024 zodiac animal.
The whisky was finished in Caribbean rum casks hand selected by Malt Master Brian Kinsman, which give the Gran Reserva its name.
The nose offers tropical fruit, molasses and wood spices. The palate brings rum notes with mango, ginger and chocolate, and the long finish carries orange jam, cinnamon and hints of banana.
