Glenfiddich 23 Year Old Grand Cru is a Speyside single malt from Dufftown, aged for 23 years and finished in French Champagne cuve casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle.
Cuves are the large oak vessels used in Champagne production, and the Grand Cru name refers to Champagne's highest village classification. The finish adds a delicate, vinous character to the Glenfiddich spirit.
The nose brings white peach, pear, vanilla, toasted almond and fresh brioche. On the palate come creamy citrus, toffee, subtle spice and a Champagne minerality. The finish is clean and elegant, with lingering stone fruit.
