Glenfiddich Grande Couronne is a 26 year old single malt from the Dufftown distillery, bottled at 43.8% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It matured in American and European oak casks.
It was then given an extended finish of up to two years in French cognac casks.
The nose is aromatic and lively, with intense toasty oak sweetness, French patisserie, freshly baked tarte tatin and buttery choux pastry. The palate is deep and velvety, with café crème, fine brown sugar and a hint of spice. The finish is very long and rests on sweet oak.
