Glenfiddich – 29 Year Old Grand Yozakura (70cl, 45.1%)

Glenfiddich Grand Yozakura is a 29 year old single malt, bottled at 45.1% in a 70cl bottle as a limited edition. Yozakura means cherry blossom viewing at night in Japanese. The release is described as the first Scotch single malt finished in Japanese ex-awamori casks. The whisky spent 29 years maturing in casks at the Glenfiddich distillery before the finish in awamori casks, a Japanese spirit with a wide range of flavours. The nose offers ripe fruits and caramelised almonds. The palate brings toasted oak and creamy vanilla with spice and sherbet, and the finish ends on oak.
