Glenfiddich – 29 Year Old Grand Yozakura (70cl, 45.1%)

Glenfiddich Grand Yozakura is a 29 year old single malt at 45.1% abv, in a 70cl bottle. The name is Japanese for cherry blossom viewing at night. It is a limited edition. The whisky matured for 29 years in casks at the Glenfiddich distillery, then received a finish in Japanese ex-awamori casks. It is the first Scotch single malt finished in this way. The nose brings ripe fruits and caramelised almonds. On the palate come toasted oak, creamy vanilla, spice and sherbet, and the finish closes on oak.
