Glenfiddich – 40 Year Old Time Series (70cl, 44.6%)

Glenfiddich 40 Year Old Time Series is a 40 year old single malt from Scotland, bottled at 44.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of a series of three single malts. It is made by remnant vatting, in which the rich residues of earlier bottlings are combined with the casks, a process carried out only by Glenfiddich. The colour is dark mahogany. The nose is complex, with dried fruit, cherry, dark chocolate and coffee. The palate is soft and fine, with dried fruit, stewed apple, raisins, oak and dark chocolate. The finish is long and intense.
