Glenfiddich – Fire & Cane

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane is a single malt from the distillery's Experimental Series, where it is the fourth expression. It combines peated whisky with malts matured in bourbon barrels, and all of the whisky was then finished in Latin rum casks. The idea goes back to 2003, when Malt Master Brian Kinsman first ran peated spirit through the Glenfiddich stills. Here that smoky spirit is joined with malts that had been maturing alongside it in bourbon casks. It is described as having campfire smokiness and toffee sweetness, with an added layer of caramel toffee from the rum casks.
