Glenfiddich Gran Reserva is a 21 year old Speyside single malt, matured in ex-bourbon oak at the Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown and then finished for up to four months in hand selected Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle.
It first appeared in 2002 as Havana Reserve and was renamed Gran Reserva in 2012. It belongs to the Glenfiddich Grand Collection.
The nose is vanilla-sweet with floral lift, banana, fig, toffee and new leather. The palate moves from soft to brisk, with ginger, lime zest, fig, pepper and tropical fruit. The finish is long, dry and spicy, with toffee and candied ginger.
