Glenfiddich Grande Couronne is a 26 year old Speyside single malt, released in August 2021 as part of the Grand Series. The name is French for Great Crown. It is bottled at 43.8% in a 750ml bottle, and the series also includes the 21 Year Gran Reserva and the 23 Year Grand Cru.
It matures for 26 years in American and European oak, then spends up to two years in French oak Cognac casks. The outturn is approximately 10,000 bottles worldwide.
The nose is toasty and pastry-like, with tarte tatin, café crème, brown sugar, peach, pear, apricot, honey and marzipan.
