Glenfiddich – Orchard Experiment Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Orchard Experiment is a Scottish single malt from Glenfiddich, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is the fifth release in the distillery's Experimental series. Selected Glenfiddich whiskies were finished for about four months in casks from The Somerset Cider Brandy Co., which had previously held its Pomona apple liqueur. The master blender then judged when the flavours were ready for bottling. The nose is fruity, with pear, peach, mirabelle plum and a note of Pomona. The palate is ripe, sweet and creamy, with orchard fruit, toffee, apple and wood, and the finish is long and sweet.
