Glenfiddich – Perpetual Collection VAT 02 "Rich & Dark" (1L, 43%)

Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection VAT 02 "Rich & Dark" is the second release in the Perpetual Collection, in a 1 litre bottle at 43%. The series follows the solera method, in which the vats are never emptied completely, so each new batch contains part of the one before. VAT 02 was matured in oak and Spanish sherry casks, giving it a strong aroma and a silky body. The nose is bold and lively, with spice and oak, toasted white bread with jam, and old leather and parchment. The palate is soft and silky, with sweetness meeting the spice of Spanish oak, and the finish is deep and gentle.
