Project XX is a single malt from the Glenfiddich Experimental Series, built around the William Grant philosophy of freedom and possibilities. It is sold in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is a vatting of 20 malts, chosen from the thousands of casks in the William Grant warehouse by 20 industry experts from around the world. Those casks held everything from port pipes to virgin bourbon barrels.
It has a deep golden colour. The nose offers apple blossom, summer fruits and ripe pear, and the palate brings sweet candyfloss, cinnamon, almonds, port tannins and a little liquorice. The finish is long, with a lingering sweet oakiness.
