Glengoyne – 15 Years Old Highland Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Glengoyne 15 Years Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It brings together whiskies matured wholly in bourbon and sherry casks: 20% first-fill bourbon, 25% first-fill sherry and 55% refill casks. The aim is contrast and balance, with the dark, resinous orchard fruit of the sherry casks set beside the brighter vanilla of bourbon wood. The nose is fresh hay, malt flour, rosehip, citrus and dried fruit. The palate is clean with a gentle sweetness, candied lemon, cinnamon, vanilla and apple pie, and the finish is dry with gentle spice and lingering oak.
