Glengoyne – Batch Strength #10 (59.5%)

Glengoyne Batch Strength #10 is the tenth edition of the distillery's Cask Strength series, a single malt bottled at 59.5% without dilution. It is vatted from a small number of casks and no water is added, so the flavours are concentrated. Apple fruit leads, with vanilla custard and toffee alongside. At this strength the spice from the wood comes through more strongly, and a few drops of water soften it.
