Glengoyne – Legacy Series Chapter 3 Single Malt (70cl, 48%)

Glengoyne Legacy Chapter 3 is a single malt from the distillery's Legacy Series, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. This limited edition honours Sir Arthur John Tedder, the exciseman stationed at Glengoyne, whose influence helped shape the standards that still govern Scotch production. The spirit is matured in refill sherry and bourbon casks. The American oak sherry casks add vanilla and caramel, while the bourbon casks bring out fruit and a honeyed finish. The nose offers cinnamon, vanilla and berry jam. The palate is rich and chewy, with spiced buns, raisins and cream sherry, and the finish carries pineapple, dark chocolate and warming spice.
