This is a 45 year old Glenlivet single malt from the Gordon & Macphail Private Collection. It was distilled in 1976 and bottled at cask strength in 2021, with an outturn of 266 bottles.
The nose brings sweet citrus, rich fruitcake and butterscotch. The palate has cinnamon and ginger spice with liquorice and oak, then tobacco, raisins, white pepper, stewed fruits, walnut and plum. The finish is long, with roasted nuts and fresh garden mint.
