This is a 1996 vintage Glenmorangie from the Bond House series, in a 70cl bottle at 43%. The whisky first matured in bourbon casks, then was finished in Oloroso sherry and Burgundy casks. The two styles of maturation were married, and the vatting was balanced with spirit matured in new charred oak by Dr Bill Lumsden.
The aromas are rich and plummy, with apricot and baked apple.
