Hanyu – Largamente Double Cask Sherry & Bourbon (70cl, 51%)

Hanyu Largamente is the second single malt released by the newly established Hanyu Distillery, which began operating again in 2021. It follows the distillery's first release, Hanyu Genesis, and comes in a 70cl bottle at 51%. This is a double cask whisky. It is mainly non-peated whisky aged in sherry casks, blended with non-peated whisky from first-fill bourbon casks, which brings the sweetness of maple and honey. The name is a musical expression mark. The chief blender chose it because he wanted drinkers to find the flavours of the two whiskies spacious, rich and relaxed. The sherry-aged part has aromas of raisins and spices.
