Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2022 is a limited edition blended Japanese whisky from The House of Suntory, released for the sakura season. It blends more than ten malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries, with a selection finished in sakura wood casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl decanter.
The sakura finish was developed by fifth generation Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo, who matched the wood's floral and spicy character with the grain whiskies. The release belongs to an annual spring series begun in 2021.
The nose is fragrant, with citrus, delicate florals, cinnamon, sweet pear, vanilla and honey. The palate is light and smooth, and the finish is long and warming.
