Hibiki Japanese Harmony 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Design marks thirty years of the Hibiki brand, which Suntory launched in 1989. It is a blend of malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries, finished in plum liqueur casks and bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle.
The bottle carries a traditional Japanese textile pattern in gold, red, teal and cream, drawing on kimono fabric, and the box repeats the artwork.
The nose is honey, white peach, rose petal and gentle vanilla, with a hint of Japanese plum. The palate is silky and light, with caramel, orange blossom honey and orchard fruit. The finish is medium, with honey, soft oak and a floral note.
