High Country is an American single malt whiskey from High West, distilled and blended in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. It is bottled at 44% abv (88 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is of roasted macadamia nuts, dried cherry, bananas Foster and toasted coconut, with raisin bread, sea spray and a soft wood smoke like a sooty chimney. The palate brings smoked pear, baked apples with honey, lemon rind, toffee nuts and dark chocolate, along with sea salt and buttered brioche rolls.
