High West Rendezvous Rye is a blend of straight rye whiskeys from High West Distillery in Park City, Utah, here in an artist label edition called Limited Supply. It combines a 95 percent rye whiskey from MGP in Indiana with High West's own pot still distillate of 80 percent rye and 20 percent malted rye. The component whiskeys are aged in new charred American oak, and it is bottled at 46% without chill filtration or added flavour.
It is described as rich golden honey, with orange peel, dried apricot, mint, clove and pine on the nose. The palate is bold and spicy, with ginger, cinnamon, molasses, vanilla and toasted oak, and the finish carries rye spice fading into caramel, orange zest and tobacco.
