Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart is a limited edition single malt bottled at 44% in a 70cl ceramic decanter.
Gordon Motion, Master Whisky Maker, selected mainly sherry-seasoned European oak casks for warm spice and sherry-seasoned American oak casks for sweet vanilla, adding a few refill casks to soften the whisky. The decanter was made with Wade Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, inspired by earthenware vessels found at the distillery in Orkney. It is embossed with the lion and serpent design, and the heart motif on the back gives the whisky its name.
The nose offers crème brûlée, heather honey, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon zest, with sponge cake and peat smoke.
