Highland Park 17 Year Between You & I is an Orkney single malt, the second edition in the distillery's Between You & I series, created with New York-based artist Laila Gohar. The series explores how flavours spark personal memory.
Master Whisky Maker Marc Watson sampled more than 80 casks for this bottling. The whisky spent 11 years in refill casks before a finish in highly active, unseasoned American oak, which adds fruit, orange blossom, vanilla and spice alongside the honeyed malt and peat smoke. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The nose brings orange blossom, rich honey, vanilla and leather, with a trace of peat smoke. The palate is full-bodied and silky, and the finish is long, with orange, oak spice and a thread of peat.
