Highland Park – 17 Year Old 2007 Connoisseurs Choice (59.9%)

This is a single cask Highland Park from the Orkney distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 2007 and matured for 17 years in a first fill sherry butt, then bottled at a natural cask strength of 59.9%. The outturn was 606 bottles, and the whisky is non-chill filtered. It is described as showing the distillery's coastal smoke and heathered sweetness, with a rich sherry influence. The Connoisseurs Choice range was first launched in 1968 by George Urquhart.
