This is an 18 year old single cask Highland Park from the Orkney Islands, released as the London Edition. It was distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 58.8% ABV, with 644 bottles drawn from a single refill sherry butt.
The nose is delicate and floral, with dried fruit, heather honey and a note of maritime brine. On the palate, orchard fruits mingle with soft honey, creamy toffee and understated oak spice, then aromatic peat smoke arrives with a saline edge. The finish is long and evolving, with a dry, smoky tail and bittersweet dark chocolate.
